Died: March 11, 1897, Fulham, London, England.
Buried: Highgate Cemetery, London, England.
Son of an organist, Tours attended conservatories in Brussels and Leipzig. He moved to London in 1861, playing violin and teaching. The next year, he became the organist at the Swiss Church in Holborn. Later, he worked for Novello as an editor and arranger.
